Greek Yogurt Berry Bowl Recipe

Hello! So today we’re going to make a greek yogurt berry bowl. Greek yogurt is protein and calcium rich and good for your gut health because it contains probiotics. At first the Bowl idea started with acai bowls in Brazil. Basically they consisted of frozen acai berries that were pureed and then topped with variety of fruits. However it is not always so easy to find acai berries so now we can often see different yogurt bowls with many healthy ingredients.

Although you can use any yogurt to make it, the greek yogurt is my favourite option because it is high in protein and low in sugar. Kids usually like their bowls with some flavoured yogurt, like strawberry or blueberry, because it is sweeter but in my opinion the sour taste of greek yogurt is balanced perfectly by sweet berries and banana!Not to mention that pretty much all flavoured options are full of sugar. So let’s see how it is done!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 150 g greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • handful of strawberries
  • handful of raspberries
  • tablespoon of honey

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Firstly put the greek yogurt in the bowl.
  2. Then add washed and cut strawberries.
  3. Add some washed raspberries and sliced bananas.
  4. Now use chia seeds and a tablespoon of peanut butter.
  5. Finally drizzle some honey on top.

Variety Of Toppings For Yogurt Bowl

As you can see the options to choose from are pretty much endless. Just don’t get too carried away because you might regret putting too many different flavours into one bowl! As they say everything has its limit!

FRESH FRUITS: Passionfruit, pear, melons, strawberries, blackberries, kiwi, raspberries, apple, banana, pineapple.

NUTS AND SEEDS: Walnuts, nuts, almonds, cashew, hazelnuts, macadamia, chia seeds, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, granola, coconut flakes.

DRIES FRUITS: Apricot, raisins, dates, prunes, figs, mango, pineapple, cranberries, papaya, cherries, kiwi.

SWEETENER: Agave, soaked dates, brown sugar, hone, date sugar, maple syrup.
