Which Ingredients Can I Use In Mocktails?
Firstly, let’s talk about what a mocktail is. Basically it is an alcohol free cocktail and what’s great about it is that possibilities are pretty much endless. You can use many things like different juices, soft drinks, berries, syrups, cream, coffee, spices etc. And if you use components, such as chia seeds, kombucha, ginger, mint and other “super foods”, mocktails can also be healthy and nutritious. So let’s look closer!
Easy Home Made Iced Banana Coffee Mocktail
Our first pick today was this iced banana coffee/espresso mocktail. It is absolutely perfect for hot summer mornings. In addition it is really simple to do at home and it does not require many ingredients. Because of banana it is quite sweet and if you don’t like coffee with sugar then just leave out agave syrup. Also if you don’t like your mocktail too strong, don’t use espresso.
- 1 cup of cold espresso or coffee
- 1 iced banana
- 1/2 cup of cold milk (I use coconut-rice milk)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup
- few ice cubes
Firstly blend all ingredients in blender till smooth and enjoy your cold iced banana mocktail. Then you can sprinkle a few coffee beans on top and it looks like espresso martini! 🙂 Let me know in comments how it turned out 😉
Super Easy Watermelon Margarita With Only A Few Ingredients
What could be better than an ice cold watermelon margarita on a sunny Sunday afternoon? Not only is it healthy, but it is also low on carbs, fresh and super delicious! In addition watermelon is a good source of vitamin C, potassium and vitamin B5. Like all my favourite mocktails, this is easy to make because it only has a few ingredients in it. So here we go:
- 1 one medium watermelon cut into chunks
- pressed juice of three limes
- 4 tbs agave sirop
- sparkling water
Mix watermelon, fresh lime juice and agave with blender. Divide between four glasses, then top all up with cold sparkling water and you’re ready to go!
Refreshing And Easy Punch Mocktails
So, what to offer your guests for drinks if you have a BBQ dinner ahead? Well that’s pretty easy … of course it is punch! Make it in the bowl or a large jug. After all it is meant for several people. You can use sparkling water, juice or both. Add different fruits like apple, orange, lemon and berries, basically whatever you want. But keep in mind not add too many different flavours because some might not match! Anyway, here is a recipe of one of my favorite punch mocktails:
- 1L of sparkling water (33oz)
- 1Liter of ice cubes
- 1L of Sprite
- 1Liter of apple juice
- 1 cucumber (sliced)
- 2 sliced lemons
- 3 sliced limes
Super Delicious And Easy Virgin Strawberry Mojito Mocktail
OK, so this is my all time favourite mocktail! Of course it is THE Virgin Strawberry Mojito. In fact, I don’t think there are many people in the world who don’t like mojitos. There is just something special about this mocktail. However, it is high in calories, so I don’t recommend having it too often! But it is so worth it every once in a while! Now, let’s see how YOU can do one easy and yummi strawberry mojito.
- 4-5 big strawberries for glass
- 8-10 mint leaves
- 1/2 lime
- 1/2 glass of Sprite
- Crushed ice
Add strawberries, mint and lime slices to glass, muddle together. Then add cold Sprite and top up with crushed ice. Finally…enjoy!
Enjoy these mocktails with your friends and family. I’m sure your kids will love them as well. Mocktails are the new cocktails!
