Best Cheap Acne Products That Work

How Can We Fight Against Acne?

I have been struggling with acne for all my life. I have hormonal acne (I’m 32). If we look around we can see that this is a pretty common problem not only amongst teenagers but among adults as well. My only way out from this situation was to take birth control pills. But let’s be honest, there are so many risks and side effects and I don’t want to poison my body anymore. So I have completely given up taking them. Anyway, I chose three products that I use and that have helped me to clear my skin. They have also been helpful to control my hormonal acne outbreaks. Of course, if we speak about acne, it includes so much more than only outside treatments. But lets take it step by step 🙂

Most of the acne treatment products are over priced and they simply do not work. So here is a short list of products that everybody can afford. Firstly, let’s see which substances our products should include.

Why Is Salicylic Acid Good Against Acne?

Salicylic acid is good for oily and acne-prone skin. Although it is not suitable for sensitive, dehydrated or dry skin it controls sebum production and helps with the appearance of large pores. If you use any salicylic acid products you should keep your skin well hydrated! Also you should minimize exposure to sun and of course, use sunscreen. Do not use it every day, 2-3 per week (depends on the BHA %) is enough.

Glycolic Acid Fights Against Pimples

Glycolic acid a.k.a AHA is primarily used to exfoliate your skin. As a matter of fact it gently lifts off dead skin cells to reveal newer, fresher, smoother skin. Over dosage of AHA products can cause hyperpigmentation, dryness, skin redness. So be careful!

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 240ml

I use this Ordinary toner every evening, it has helped me a lot with my pores. It feels a bit sticky so I apply some moisturizer after using it. In addition if I don’t use cream my skin will be a little oily in the morning.

Benzoyl Peroxide For Acne Treatment

Benzoyl peroxide is really helpful for treating acne. It unclogs skin pores. In addition it helps to stop bacteria from growing and cause acne pimples and cystic lesions. It comes in different products and strengths. Soaps, gels, lotions, serums etc. I think the washes are the best because they don’t stay on your skin too long. And you can use the washing gel or soap in the shower also for body acne.

CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser | Acne Treatment Face Wash with 4% Benzoyl Peroxide, Hyaluronic Acid, and Niacinamide | Cream to Foam Formula | 5 Oz

Together with everything mentioned above, we can’t forget to live and eat healthy. Have you tried doing that? In fact maybe you don’t even need to do anything else against acne!

Hopefully you found something helpful from this post! I know how frustrating acne can be. It’s like an endless struggle. But don’t worry, there is a way out so let’s stay positive and enjoy the gift of life!
